Hohner Steinberger B2A V PRO - headless 5 string!

Sign in to disble this ad
Here we have a Hohner B2A V Pro bass. Licensed by Steinberger. This bass is in EXCELLENT A++++ condition! It's as close to brand new mint as you'll find. You can see some paint on the pickup lettering has rubbed off, but otherwise this thing is immaculate as seen in the pictures. The cherry burst quilted maple top is outrageously hot looking, and as usual, the pics don't quite do it justice. Here's a link to more pics: Hohner Steinberger B2A V pictures by andyspublicpix - Photobucket

It has an active/passive toggle and 2 band eq. It sounds great passive, but when the preamp is engaged, it sounds HUGE. Cool LED to indicate active operation and battery strength. Select EMG pickups. There is also a handy gain pot for the preamp that you can access through the back control plate. Of course it has the Steinberger System bridge, the heart of the headless bass.

This bass includes the original Hohner Professional hard case, which are not easy to find. It is strung up with a new set of Steinberger double ball end strings, and a used set is included in the case!

GONE!

DOH! Sorry, typo. As you can see, it's stacked bass/treble 2 band. Listing updated.

Great tension on the B string. It feels tighter than my Fender 5's and I have several. It is indeed a 34" scale.

One more thought...

These basses are obviously lighter than your average bass. Great for someone with back problems.

Perhaps a silly question... can you use non-double ball strings on these? Never had one, but always found them interesting. Thanks!

I suppose you could with a hokey knot of some sort on the end. It would probably look bad though, and knots tend to shift so getting it placed in the right spot would be difficult. So....can you - yes. Should you - no.

I beleive there's adapters you can buy to go on the end of the neck to allow use of normal strings.

I may trade you a Fretless 4-string Hohner B2A Fl and a little cash for it. Any interest?
