Price drop - $925 shipped
This is a 2007 model that is in great shape. I bought it here on TB just over 1 year ago ( Human Base OCX.5 Mint for sale $975 + shipping). It is in great shape, and I agree with the general opinion around here that it is the best 5 string in the price range. The Glock pre and Delano pups are a great versatile combo. And the bridge spacing is adjustable.
There are a couple of minor nicks and scratches that I tried to capture in the pictures, but nothing out of the ordinary. It is very playable with nice low action. I will ship with the neck tension just a little loose so you can tighten to lower the action even more. I typically played it very low and it does great.

I just strung 'er up with new DR highbeams and put in a new battery. It comes with a human base gig bag. $925 shipped CONUS. No trades please. I am trying to thin the herd.

I played one ot the 09 NE GTG and man-was I impressed.
Extremely flexible tonally and very comfortable to play.
Unfortunately it's out of my price range right now but whoever buys this, will not be sorry!

For future baseX.oc shoppers -- this bass is fantastically constructed, and the tension is off the map. Spent about half an hour with it before even plugging it in, going *slap" oooo *slap* oooo...
Loving it! Though I must admit, the most important aspects of the sale were in the packaging. Bulletproof. He even bubble wrapped a portion of the neck within the soft case. But, the real gems:
The Sponge Bob ziploc with the allen wrenches:
And the 17 random packing peanuts :)
Thanks, man!! |

| | Registered Schmoozer. | | | | | I'm shopping for my first 5 or 6 string... this one had me intrigued. Congrats. (Incidentally, by "tension is off the map" I assume you mean the strings feel nice and tight/have a good bounce when you slap?) |

| | doot de doo | | Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Tempe, Arizona | | | G string slap response is like the D string response on almost other basses I've played, other than an MTD 535 I got my hands on. Very tight, monster bounce. Sustain and harmonics are fantastic. Very much the "piano string" reference that gets dropped around here a lot. And the B is locked down ridiculously tight for a 34".
Only issue is having to adjust some thump tech due to the neck humbucker spacing, so we'll see how that goes. Straight ahead slapping, it's gorgeous. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
