Ibanez Artcore ASB 140 for sale. This has the DarkStar pickup and OHSC and it’s very near mint. No dings or scratches, some light swirls that you have to hold in the light just right to see. The tolex case has a couple of bb size dings. The frets are near new. According to the Ibanez serial site, this was made in Sept 05 in Korea but the label says China. The fit and finish is far superior to anything I’ve seen come out of China. Better then the Rivoli I had and as good or better then the Allen Woody I had.
Here’s the skinny. I bought this Sunday! I’ve always had a soft spot for hollow and semi hollow basses and I went to the local guitar show to look for one. I walked around for an hour and this was the only one there and I bought it. After playing it for a couple of days I realize that I can’t get used to the 34” scale. This is weird because I have a Fender P and Lakland JO5.
It has flats on it and love the woody tone. Brighter and better sustain then I remember in the short scales. I put a set of DR High Beams on her and she sounded like an aggressive P-bass, almost like it has an active system.
Asking what I paid for it, $500 plus actual shipping cost. Lower 48 only.
