This is a repost, I removed the orignial post because I couldn't edit the title.
According to its serial number, it is a 1999 made in Japan (Fujigen) 1005. It is a 35" scale, according to BR scale it weighs 8.5 lbs. It has Ibanez brand soapbars, monorails, and tuners.
GOOD: Plays great. Neck is nice, feels nice on the strap, looks good, sounds good.
BAD: Pre has been removed, and it has been refinished.
Explanations of the bad:
Why remove the preamp?
It was hacked together when I got it, so I just pulled it out and wired it passive.
Refinish?
When I got it, it was covered in some sort of brushed on varnish, so I stripped and sanded it all off, then sprayed it with a satin poly (similar to what is on my 1305). It turned out nice...only thing is the BTB logo on the headstock is gone..again, never bothered me.
Overall, the bass is in good shape, a couple of fingernail half moon dings on the edge of body, neck is straight and stays in tune...no matter how long it has been since you last played it. The tuners work nick and smooth.
