Ibanez BTB1205 Prestige-Zebrawood!

So my quest for a new upright continues to cut where it really hurts...but I have to do it. Otherwise, this bass would be a keeper, for sure.

2005 Ibanez BTB1205E

This is a fantastic bass! This was a top version of Ibanez's awesome Prestige series of basses. Beautiful woods and excellent construction. There are some typical player-wear type nicks, but nothing at all significant and they don’t affect playability at all.
This is an extremely comfortable bass to play. The neck is really well-designed and easy to get around on.
It has a really balanced response and volume across the strings and up the neck, with extremely versatile tonal options, thanks to the awesome EQ and mid switch. It can cop a great p-bass sound with the neck pickup soloed and can do aggressive slap tones as well. With both pickups on, the tone is both thick and detailed.
Comes with a brand new Gator lightweight case.

Ibanez BTB1205E Specifications:
35” scale 5 string
BTB5 Prestige neck-thru construction
5pc. Maple/ Walnut Neck Material
Abalone and unique wood inlay
Zebrawood top/Mahogany/Zebrawood back w/matching headstock
Custom-designed Bartolini active EQ and passive humbucking pickups designed for the 35" neck scale.
19mm spacing at the bridge
24/Medium frets
Rosewood Finger Board
Mono- Rail IV bridge
Gold hardware

Made in Korea (after Japan, before Indonesia, as the chronology goes).

These were a limited production run. I had a 6'er when I was working for an Ibanez dealer. The rep said they made about 50 each of the 4, 5, & 6 strings.

Awesome Bass Free Bump.

Thanks for that info! I knew you didn't often see these around, but I wasn't aware that they made so few!
Such a fine bass in great shape and perfect working order bump.
