Very lightweight and ergonomic bass. Features magnetic AND piezo pickups for an acoustic bass sound. The controls are simple but powerful. There is a volume for each pickup and a single knob EQ for each. These work by going from flat to boosting highs and lows as you turn it up. there are also volumes for each bridge pickup to balance the volume of each string. I can include a PDF of the manual.
It helps to really understand the controls to make it sound the best.
The D string tuner post is broken at the tip. it still works but it's a little tricky to wrap the string. The neck has been shimmed to sit at the proper angle. the action was really high when i got it. one volume knob is non-original. the battery cover needs screws. It plays nice now. Strung with Fender nickelplated rounds-the low B is an Ernie ball or daddario.. This would be a good backup or a decent bass to get used to playing 5 string. It balances really well standing or sitting and it is LIGHT! I may consider trades.
"The EDA series is the future of bass and bass players. The lighter Luthite body takes away the weight and heavy feel to the bass, but leaves all the qualities you would ewant out of a normal body material. The low-profile bridge and wider neck provide wide spacing for right and left hand fingering. The Fishman Piezo Mono-Rail II bridge is another great feature of the EDA Series. The Piezo pickups provide clarity and offer crystal clear definition. They also produce a bigger, warmer sound - and at much higher volumes before distortion than you can get with only a magnetic pickup.
You want more? You got it. The EDA Series also utilizes reversed tuning machines which allow straight line stringing from nut to post for more precise tuning and more consistent string-to-string tension."
