Ibanez fretless ATK300 for sale

Sign in to disble this ad
Ibanez ATK lined fretless ATX 300 in great condition. I have customized this bass a bit, by removing the Ibanez logo and adding a custom, but removable headstock logo. I've also added tortoise shell pickguard and cavity covers. The original black guard and covers will go to the buyer.

The bass is a traditional tri-color sunburst with very visiable and attractive grain on the one piece ash body. The neck and headstock are maple. The fingerboard appears to be rosewood and is lined with a white material. The neck has front and side dot markers. The fret lines are well laid out. I've had no pitch issues with this bass.

The bass has 9V active electronics. It is strung with RotoSound RS77LD flats.

This bass has been used successfully on stage and in the studio. It achieves a dark, smokey tone and is very big and punchy. It easily cuts any mix in most genres of music. I have used it on stage for '50s, '60s & '70s rock, blues, country, rockabilly, honky tonk and swing.

It has normal wear for a well cared for 10 year old instrument....a few surface scratches, but no bumps, chips, dings, bare wood or other major owies. There is no scoring from strings and no significant fingerboard wear.

It is a terrific player and was set up three weeks ago by a master luthier in the Des Moines IA area.

This bass has no case. I am willing to sell it for $500, plus shipping to US locations only. I have an SKB bass case that I used for my vintage Fenders, that fits this bass well. I will include it for an additional $80.

If you're a serious player and want to play fretless on a great, but economical instrument, you owe it to yourself to check this one out.

Please contact me at f.koogler@mchsi.com or at 641.780.3006. If you shoot me an email address, I will send photos.
