Ibanez SRX500 w/active electronics & molded case

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

My son is putting up for sale his old bass, since he has moved on to a jazz.

Here's his ad:

Up for sale is an Ibanez SRX 500 with an amazing Hard-Shell case for 350$ (negotiable)
While aimed more for rock types of music, the active electronics make this bass extremely versatile while the dual humbucker pick-ups pump out massive amounts of sound without any muddy tones.
But this bass isn't all sound, the beautiful Sunburst finish brings out the fact even more that this bass is built like a piece of art. The finish has not worn one bit, other than the usual little dings and scratches. Although there are a few indents that are about the size of the tip of a pencil on the top half of the bass.
All of the Hardware (knobs, pick-ups, tuners, bridge) work just the way that they should. The only thing is that over time the silver has worn off to give it a bit of a black chrome look. The front of the bass is almost flawless, other than a couple of tiny scratches, the back of the bass has normal scratches from playing the bass with a belt on and one blemish about the size of half a thumbtack that is slightly indented, but nothing major.
The playability of this bass is amazing, especially for the price it is going for, the neck is smooth and well-spaced. The pearl dot inlays are easy to see and a perfect if a quick position reminder is needed. The fit and finish on this bass is excellent. The tuners and bridge have never failed me, before a show I would tune up with the guitar players and wouldn't have to worry about the strings slipping. The bass was recently set up by my local guitar shop with some fantastic coated strings that match the bass and have barely been played.
The Hard-Shell case is a work of art in itself, the MB100C is like the Luxury Sedan of all Bass Cases. The inside is made to hold this bass perfectly, and is covered in magnificent, fuzzy, fabric. It is entirely sturdy and I have never had a problem with it. With this case, if it ever happened, It could most likely survive a fall down a set of stairs or being sat on.
The price for this Ibanez SRX 500 and the included MB100C case is unbeatable, and is well worth it.

And here's the pics:
