Jack Read neck through 4

Sign in to disble this ad
Jack Read 4 in excellent condition. Figured Maple over Mahogany body. Very fast neck. Bartolini pickups and 18v preamp. Schaller adjustable width bridge. 34" scale, 3/4" spacing at the bridge (adjustable). Zero fret. I don't have a scale, I'd guess it's somewhere in the high 7-8lb range. Ultra light style fitted case. $1600 including shipping lower 48.

Jack Read Bass

Sweet

Jack was by far the best custom builder out there--pity he had to leave the business.

I've bought and sold close to a hundred basses overthe past 6 years--always going back to my Read--sound man loves it--great playing, quality of build is second to none--

You couldn't get a hand made bass of this quality for 3 times the price.

Jack is an engineer and the design and attention to detail is unbelievable. His basses are light as a feather--but "stings like a bee."

Wish I had the cash to pick up this one

I have the prototype for this body style (purchased from a friend who go it when jack left the business). Absolutely incredible neck. If this is still here in a couple of days....

I don't see any markings on it other than Jack's info. There are three zippered pockets under the flap. Very light case.

This is true... I don't sell stuff very often. I ust dropped the price to a giveaway level (the kind of great deal "I" usuallly find) as a test to see just how tight the market is. If it doesn't move at this low a price (I saw a similar read online for more than double this price), cool... I'll do something else. I think it was priced reasonably at $1600 and after this weekend if someone wants it that's where it'll be.

This is a great opportunity to steal a very nice bass package. If it were a five it wouldn't be here.
