IMO - This compares to Pensa, Sadowsky and other high-end basses. This bass was made for Grammy Award Winning Bassist Irio O'Farrill, I purchased it from him when I was at The Collective years back. The bass is in excellent condition and has been "babied" throughout it's life. It was just set up by Ron Blake from Blake Guitars, has new strings and a dressed fretboard. This is a great playing and sounding bass and is priced to sell. You won't be disappointed!

Reason: Price Drop
Just took the neck off for the 1st time...I had this bass for along time and thought I knew the story behind it.
Here is what I just found out - The parts and the build are from 48th Street Custom Shop. I'n thinking from the 80's - the neck is stamped 85. - (I'll post pics shortly)
"Fretless copy of a Jazz Bass by the Japanese luthiers of NYC's esteemed late lamented 48th St. Custom Shop, also known for their signature Fender Strat model"
