James Tyler 34" 5 string

Sign in to disble this ad
This bass used to belong to David Hungate. It is in midnight blue with a slight sparkle, 34" scale, original bartolini pickups, and Demeter preamp. It is in great shape for a bass originally bought in 1994. It will come with original receipt from Corner Music and a handwritten note from David Hungate with a list of several of the sessions it was used on. It sounds and feels great and Tyler basses are hard to come by these days. The old ones IMO are the best ones. Comes with a Reunion San Francisco gig bag.

$2275 shipped to lower 48 states. Paypal

Pics will be posted shortly

As I recall. the last time one of these was up for sale, it didn't last very long. The Tylers are still some of the best sounding basses out there. Guys don't usually sell them

It is 19mm but I am fairly certain the wilkinson bridge is adjustable.

As much as I want to thin the herd, I know what will happen. I'll use the funds to buy another bass and then I will want a Tyler again only to never find one. I have made peace with having more basses than I could ever need. This is a great bass with a cool history and I would be making a mistake at this point by selling it. If things change, it will be back here and maybe at a discount. Thanks for your interest and bumps.
