I am selling my recently acquired 2006 Jerzy Drozd Signature. It sounds amazing, but it just doesn't seem to fit me.
The instrument is beyond beautiful and shows superior craftmenship. For full disclosure, there are 2-3 dings that do not go beyond the varnish. These are hard to see but around the pick area.
I am including a couple of pictures here.
Specs of the bass are:
35" scale
24 frets
Spalted maple top
Walnut core
Burled walnut back
Ebony fretboard
13 piece neck(maple & purpleheart, with thin wenge and maple runners)
2mm diameter side dots
Ebony nut (45mm)
20" fretboard radius
JD fully adjustable bridge (spacing is set at about 18.5 right now, but can adjust either way)
JeDXS dual coil pickups with ebony covers
Aguilar OBP-3 preamp
Schaller straplocks
9.0-9.5 lbs
The bass has been thoroughly cleaned, polished and the ebony fretboard oiled.
It includes a hard case that has some wear (missing Velcro on one strap) but is in very good to excellent condition.
The ebony fretboard is just about the most perfect piece of ebony I have ever seen. Coal black. The bass plays smooth.
There is nothing wrong with this bass, it is only a preference issue. I tend to prefer the feel of Dingwalls and this one is simply different.
