Black limba body, Koa top. JP dual coil pickups, John East JP 2 band preamp. Wenge neck and ebony finger board. The bass is in excellent condition. No, JP Basses ( www.myspace.com/jpbasses ) were built by Fred Ortega and JP Ferreira (TB user JP Basses ) in Paris, before they stopped building in 2006. Cliff Boardwell ( http://www.cbbasses.com ) took over building the JP designs in 2007, but I don't know if that project ever took off or not.

What's the scale length, nut width and string spacing at the bridge?

Scale length is 34. Strength spacing at the bridge is 3/4" Nut width is 2".

I'm going to shoot more pictures ..more to come!

as a fellow JP owner, I'll vouch for the quality of his work- beautiful basses with top-notch construction, it's sad that there won't be any more of them. Fantastic, phenomenal pieces of art.
