Soo... I just bought a Fodera Yin Yang and will now be needing to thin the herd to make room for it. Theses are a couple of great basses.

Ernie Ball Sterling HS 4 string - $1100 shipped
This is a very nice bass. Anyone who has played one can attest to this. Nice satin finished neck and tone for days. The tone on these is really something special. This one is in very good condition has been played very little. Also comes with original EB case.

Alembic Epic Ltd Edition #42 of 60!!! - $1200 shipped
This bass has a crazy story behind it... This was the very first "nice" bass I ever owned. I was playing at our church pretty much every sunday and one night someone guy broke in and stole a ton of stuff... one item being this bass.. I was crushed. Crazy part is 3 years later, life starts getting rough and someone reaches out to him from the church (not knowing he was the one who broke in)... well he goes to church and finds the Lord and confesses to breaking in and stealing all this stuff. It just so happened that he was a bass player and this was the only thing he kept.. so he returned it! CRAZY!
Now to the sad part... When he took the bass, he scratched out and put wood filler over the serial# and removed the Alembic LTD brass plate and just put a blank brass plate in its place.. so sad. So that is the down side to this bass... I have all the original purchase paperwork from the first owner showing sale and serial number as well as a bill of sale from him to myself. I spoke with Alembic and for $50 they will remake a new original LTD brass plate with serial and model# on it. The bass plays amazing and has tone for days. I have played many Alembics and this one was always the most comfortable and fun to play. Anyway, if you guys have any other questions just post them here or email them to the email I provide below. Also original case is included.

Here is a post of one that sold earlier.. shows what the brass plate should look like.

Alembic Epic Special Edition 1998 #32 of 60

Thanks for looking everyone.. sad to see these goes, but happy to see the Fodera headed this way!! (Thanks Don!!)

lucky for you that you live in Virginia.. Here in the great state of California we get I.O.U.'s for tax returns.. Unbelievable! I wonder when I owe taxes if I can send an I.O.U... NOPE it would be a cold day in hell before... Anyway, if you like the sterling then lets do something on it. It is a great bass and with a nice punchy tone.

I am interested please email some pics. And how do we do this as far as money and sending the bass to me etc..?? paypal? what insurance do I have you are sending me the bass nad not scamming me? I hate to ask that question but ya never know.

I live in NJ near downneck he is asking $1800. I am looking at yours as a viable move as well. The upside on dn is I can possibly see his in person and check it out.

The upside on yours is $1200 downside is shipping the bass and trust

Not to be rude, but there is no reason to be so paranoid here. We talkbassr's look out for each other. I have been a member since the year 2000 and sold many items on here. You want feedback or assurance... how bout the freakin $6000 Fodera I just bought from Rushpile... That should say everything! Anyway, let me know what you want to do... the shipping is included so that isn't an issue and for payment I would be looking for paypal.

Let me know...

Hey Thanks Skamaniac for resurrecting my old "Epic for Sale" thread.

It's like opening up a wound...I really miss that bass. I should have made the effort to play it more. But I know that it's being used more by someone else than what I ever did with it. Yea...I'll just keep telling myself that and all the pain will go away...
