Kala Solid Body U-Bass Fretted - US Made

Sign in to disble this ad
Super-cool 21" scale bass with polyurethane strings, plays the same pitches as a standard bass. If you are not familiar with this bass there good video introducing the instrument and showing it off here.

This bass is a blast to play and sounds amazing. This one is in as-new condition and comes with the gig bag, hang tag, charger, and an extra set of strings. This bass was made in California, not to be confused with the less expensive line of SUB basses from Kala. More manufacturer's info and videos are here. More photos are here.

The Specs:
MADE IN USA
GRAPH TECHTM Black TUSQ
Tuners: Custom Hipshot
Neck wood: Maple
Fretboard: Rosewood or Maple
Frets: Jumbo 6105
Bridge: Custom Rosewood
Saddle/Pickup: Passive Shadow piezo
Preamp: Custom Mi Si Align rechargeable system using battery free technology
Body wood: Select Swamp Ash on standard models
String height at 12th fret: 5mm for optimum tone
Overall Length: 28
Scale Length: 21
Body Width: 9
Nut Width: 1
Self Lubricating Nut Neck
Width at 12thFret: 2 1/8
Neck Contour: Vintage P-style Fretboard
Radius: 12
Body Depth: 1
Neck Depth at 12th fret: 7/8
Strings: ROAD TOAD MUSIC proprietary polyurethane
Case: U-Bass deluxe gig bag Meets all airline carry-on requirements

I'm looking for a sale or trade. I would love a fretted 6 (Carvin?). A neck-thru active 4 would also be cool. A lightweight head might work. Run anything by me.

These basses go new for around $1000, you can have this one for $800 shipped in the CONUS. Paypal is fine.

She's a beauty. I want one badly. If I had the funds, I'd take it.

Maybe you should post a soundclip. Maybe lots of people finding this thread don't know what it is.

Folks - these basses are amazing. If I had the dollars, I'd be grabbing this bass in a hurry.

That's a good idea. I'll see if I can rig something up this weekend, meanwhile there are tons of clips at this Kala link . Great footage from the last NAMM show of some world-class players gushing over this instrument.

Thanks again.

Bumping, hoping the right person finds this gem.

All Kala UBasses deserve good homes.

These are amazing basses, folks.
