The U-bass is SOLD.
Here are some pictures of the actual instrument: Pictures by rocknsoulbass - Photobucket
It's about 6 months old and has never left my den. I've played it 2 or 3 times for a short period to work out chords or a line, etc. If I hadn't finally found the practice/travel bass I've been seeking for 3+ years, I'd definitely keep this one. It's sounds great and the entire bass (including the back) is literally in new condition.
$395.00 and I'll split shipping and insurance in the continental 48 states. PayPal preferred. Sorry, no trades.

The Dano is light enough, however, and I use a practice/travel bass little enough, that it will also serve that purpose for my limited needs.
As a true practice and travel bass, the Dano doesn't touch the Kala--which is far shorter and lighter, of course, and has a wonderful deep tone.

I only wonder if people are using expensive pedals or what not to get the sound out of them since it looks like it has a simple preamp. Is this one able to plug in?

I've heard the videos and those aren't pedals. It produces a fantastic deep, full low-end that is a lot like a double bass.
Very cool.
