Kawai FIIB (Alembic clone), Ibanez ATK-305

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD -- $500 + shipping for the Kawai
SOLD -- $350 shipped for the ATK

Local deals discounted, I'm in NoVA.
Trades: Really looking for cash. MAY trade for small head, unloaded 15" for a 3015LF, pedals, or another bass.

Kawaii FIIB:
I think the bridge pup is dead, hence the cheap price. I have too many other things to worry about than fixing a bass and need money for moving. Comes with old HSC.

Ibanez ATK305:
Pretty much new. I bought two fivers at the same time and this one was taken out of the box, played for 5 minutes, and has been sitting on the wall ever since. I'm keeping the other and selling this. Basically brand new. Will ship in the original box it came in with all literature, tools, etc. No case.

I bet someone will snatch that up by the time I refresh the page.

P.S. I like that your cat made a cameo appearance in the pictures of both basses.

Great Price on the Kawai!!! Great bass too. I've had 2 ... and always have a bit of regret for letting either of them go.

IMO, for anyone looking for a Alembic-ish-type bass ... you can't go wrong with these. Tones galore!!! If someone is on the fence about it ... jump on over ... lower prices on these FIIB's don't last long.

Good luck with the sale!

Not if you take them out, sell them and replace them with Drkstrs Otherwise, replace difficult with impossible. Actually, for my second one, I bought it off the bay with no pups for the Darkstar mod. These are top-notch build quality, well-balanced, and a neck to die for.

I don't know about original pickups, but I saw a thread here on TB where somebody was able to fit some bart soaps in there by clipping the screw receiver plastic part off and using velcro to hold the pups in.

It was a Kawai FIIB owner's group, but I can't find the thread. Anyway, those basses are very well-liked on here so I'm sure someone else will chime in.

He is my shadow... most of my gear pictures have him in them somewhere.

I like it. Versatile, awesome color. If I'm honest though the ATK plays a ton better out of the box. If I was going by what my hands told me I'd be selling the Yammy, but I can't resist the orange.

I put some Bart mm pickups in my kawai for the heck of it. Still have the stock pickups. Didn't know darkstars would fit. Great something else to gas for....

PM'd. By the way, for the curious, or if it doesn't sell, here's why it wants a new pickup and wiring set:

The Kawai is sold.

The Ibby weighs in at just under 10lbs.

I've owned four ATK fivers... and in my experience... "just under 10 lbs." is about the lightest you'll ever find.

I'd be tempted if I didn't have a USATK5 that needs some TLC ($$$).

The 305 needs an owner who will play it!
