Kawai RB65-A in natural ash, P/J active, Shaller Edition

Another very kool bass here! Its a Made In Japan Kawai RB-65A. I believe it is one of their very limited production run of Shaller Edition basses from the mid 90's.

In almost in mint condition, active Shaller P/J pickups and electronics, black hardware, and really sounds super. I see no wear on it, and everything works as it should. A bit of research shows that these listed for $1299 in the mid 90's, so they were pretty pricey!

Has a great neck...sort in between a P & J size and feel, and has very low action. Tonewise...its almost a cross between a Precision and a Stingray. It's very lightweight and has great balance. Beautiful bass to play!

$425 includes a brand new RokSak gig bag.

Precision or Geddy Lee trades are good (+/-) cash from me.

Thanks...Denny

These Kawai basses are nothing to take lightly. The Kawai I own is one of my favorite basses ever. They are made very well, they sound and play fantastically, and Denny has it described perfectly.

GLWTS!

Yeah I bought one a few months back. It was built really well and super light with a pretty small body. The thing sounded great as well but it had been neglected for so long that it couldn't take a set-up any longer...this one looks shweeeet!!!!!

I have the passive version of this and can validate all the comments about playability and build quality of these basses. I had the graphite necked passive one as well.
