You all know the bass. There is still nothing like that Smith tone!
This is a 2008 BSRGN 5 string. Gorgeous crotch walnut top and walnut back with a tiger maple core. 5 piece neck with a beautiful ebony board. The bass is in excellent condition. I a little standard playing wear around the pickups but nothing that shows in pictures. The frets are perfect and the neck is very stable. Even with the major humidity changes here in the South recently. The neck has not moved. I have owned 5 Smith basses and this one is definitely my favorite. From the tone, the looks, playability etc. It just rocks!
It comes with the original Smith hard case in mint condition with all the case candy: strap, strap locks, paperwork, tools etc.
$3100 OBO Shipped I am set as far as amps and cabs go for trades. On basses...I would potentially be interested in a Nordy VJ5 +cash on your side. That is really about it. Thanks!
And now the Smith porn....

They have always been extremely nice. And this one is no exception. I'm almost tempted to offer my Jerzy Drozd for trade. I agree that there is nothing like the tone of a Smith.

I just decided to clean house a little and clear out some that have not been seeing as much playing time. As usual, I will probably regret it later.

P.S: What is that stunning looking bass in your avatar? Looks like a modern take on an early Tobias Classic!
Cheers,

Ah, yes, I should have recognised the clean (perhaps safe?) lines of a Pedulla, looks great! Haven't owned one so far, but I've still got a few years left in me!

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Santa Fe, NM | | | Beautiful bass Rodney, as usual. I'm about to take 5 basses to Austin for consignment, one is a Nordy... I'm fairly well set with instruments though, actually spending more time playing than looking these days. Still wish I'd bought that fretless smith from you way back when, oh well. If you really wanted a Nordy, I'd consider a trade +$$ but I really shouldn't... Peace, JK |

I was actually out your way about 4 weeks ago. I did not even think to look you up while i was out there. Beautiful country!
