O.K. folks, what I have here is a very nice MIJ (I think) P/J body with a completely refinished Squier (Indonesian) neck.
I got this bass body as part of a trade a while back and it's been sitting for about a year now. I finally found the right neck for it. FYI - I am very picky about how the neck fits in the neck pocket. IMO it makes a big difference in sustain/tone/punch and feel. This particular neck and body went together as if they were made for each other.
So here is what has been done.
Neck - 20 frets, maple/rosewood with skunk stripe. - Frets have been levelled, crowned, polished and detailed, fret board edges have been rolled, headstock has been refinished, back of neck has been sanded and re-finished in oil/poly blend. - Nut has been detailed for low action and pro-setup.
Body - shielded and rewired using vintage cloth wiring, .047 (orange drop) tone cap - USA 250K CTS pots and switchcraft 1/4" jack - Bridge is a high mass Fender unit with brass saddles - pickups are original and sound great with medium output.
Hardware - Tuners are original Squier units (not the highest quality, but better than most) - New Dunlop strap locks, new "Sadowski" style control knobs, and new Circle K strings.
You won't find a better built bass for the money. Don't let the Squier logo fool you. This bass will play circle's around any standard, off the shelf Fender bass costing much more.
Sure you can buy these on e-bay for less than $200, but it won't play or sound like this one. You will easily spend (unless you do it yourself) $300 for all the work that has gone into making this bass what it is. You won't be disappointed. I guarantee it. If you don't like it, send it back for a refund - minus shipping.
I'm only askin $300 shipped for this baby. Someone will get a fantastic bass that plays like butta!!!

| | Owner/Builder Arizona Bass Company Endorsing Artist: Circle K Strings | | Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Arizona | | | Just played a gig with this bass last night. Killer tone and amazing playability. I had another local bassist sit in on a few songs and he commented on how nice the neck and action felt and how "full" the tone was. He said "If I didn't know better, I would swear I was playing a Fender Custom Shop bass. It plays like Butta"....
Just sayin...........

1. $50 reduction in price = $350 (shipped)
2. An additional set of pickups (Tesla) VR-B3 | Tesla Pickups VR-B4 | Tesla Pickups
either installed or in addition to the ones currently installed.
Either way - let's make a deal. Baby needs new shoes. LOL
Peace. |

So, C'mon, let's make a deal. Anyone? I'm open to offers. Want different pickups? LMK, I'd be willing to change pickups out for what ever you like. SD, SDG, EMG, NORDY, Fender USA, Barts, Aguilar, Lace, Tesla, Rio Grande, ??????
She needs to go to someone who will appreciate her and not sit unplayed in my bass rack.
I'm open to trades too. Trade bait; Class "D" amps. (Genz Benz, Markbass, SWR, GK, Ampeg, etc) Must be at least 600W @ 4ohms. Show me what you got, I might be interested
Cheers.

I just so happen to have a set of SD pickups in my "parts" drawer, and they fit in some generic covers that fit the body without modification. Just dumb luck I guess.
Anyway, thanks for the inquiry.
Stay tuned.......... More awesome "cheap" basses to come.
