KSD fretless jazz 5 string FS/FT for recording gear

I like the sound of a fretless. I also like notes that are in tune, and for me, that means I need frets.

I have here a Ken Smith Design proto-J 5 string fretless jazz-style bass. 35 inch scale, lined ebonol board, black with black PG and hardware. It plays well and sounds good. I'll post pics and exact weight later, but for now just know that it is quite heavy; I'd guess over 10 pounds.

Fantastic bass here for the money; can't beat it. I've owned it, played it, even recorded with it (see attached audio file). If you can listen through the "cheese" factor of the recording, you'll hear this KSD is warm, deep, and focused... I really like the sound of this bass.
