Here we have a 1989 Kubicki ex factor. This one has the 18v pre with the 6-way preamp selector knob. The settings are:
• Active with boost in the mid 600 Hz range
• Active flat
• Passive flat
• Passive with mid cut
• Passive with high cut
This bass is sort of a sparkly black, but in the right light can look a bit green. It has some original paperwork with it that explains how to use the bass, adjust everything, and warranty info. This bass plays great with low action and perfect electronics. The frets are in good shape. This bass has some dings and scuffs on it and has some wear on the back of the neck from being played. It also has some finish dulling around the pickups from resting thumbs and under the g string from slapping. There are finish cracks on both sides of the neck pocket, one side is tiny the other larger. These cracks are finish only. Some of the screws on this bass are also a bit rusty, but could probably be cleaned up with some wd40 and time if you’d like. I took several pics of the dings and scuffs, so check those out. The case is original and shows its age on the outside, but works perfectly.
The truss rod turns both ways and functions perfectly, but at times you can hear it vibrating in the neck. I am not sure what causes this, but it will buzz a little when in just the right spot when playing the right note. I don’t hear it doing it right now, but wanted to put that out there to give the buyer full disclosure. When it can be heard it doesn’t go through the amp at all, but you can hear it sometimes if playing it unplugged. Like I said, the rod functions perfectly otherwise.
Some white paint scuffs. These are not dings and could possibly be removed.
