Before you read the whole thing the only part left for sale is the all-walnut Zollar neck. It has it's own thread in Accessories.
That's Right, a G&L L1000 kit. Everything's here except for the knobs, "brown note" capacitor & a little wire. Haven't wired it up due to time & I suck at soldering but if I put it together I know I won't be able to sell it. The body is an 1981 L1K that had the top horn shortened. Why oh why? My guess is it was a bassist with a short reach. I got it complete off of ebay years ago and the Swami found me a period-correct body that I swapped the neck & pup into. Photos show pup just sitting in place which is why it looks high. Two-piece ash or alder body has it's share of dings & scars. Modern G&L humbucker. Bridge, control plate, neck plate, pots & jack. Custom Zollar all walnut neck with gorgeous walnut fretboard. P-profile, 1 5/8" at nut, satin finish. Schaller Pro lightweight tuners. Using this neck leaves a small space at the end of the pocket and would require one new hole for mounting through the neck plate, or just don't use the plate. It's also the lightest G&L I have.
Here's your chance to have the L1000 tone with a high-end unique neck that's faster than a stock 1 3/4" neck. Just imagine an all-walnut neck on an L1K and hitting the "brown note switch". Sheer terror.
