Lakland 55-01 $535 Shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,

Here's a link to the the natural finish 55-01 I am selling:

Lakland 55-01 - Nat/RW

It is exactly as it appears, plus a small ding on the edge of the truss rod cavity. I can attempt to take cell phone pictures of this, but will probably fail. Plays amazingly-great feel and though I don't know if it was ever PLEK'd, the action can get very low. Great bass for doing mods, but i thought it sounds killer as-is. Currently has very dead roundwounds on it, and I will ship it in a cheapo case or bag.

Please PM with questions, and though I probably won't do a trade, it can't hurt to offer. $535 Shipped Lower 48 only, Paypal only.

Thanks for looking.

Added the chip/ding

I'm not sure about weight, I don't own a scale. It's less than my 4 string sterling or jazz basses though, but a bit more than an old strat and 335 . 9lbs?

A few folks are interested, but still no deal sealers yet.

Thanks fo the offer ghostjs, but I'm going to pass.

I'm kind of surprised this is still here too, along with some other things i thought I'd priced semi-low to move quickly. Perhaps it's a bad time of year for selling.

I should add it comes shipped in a gig bag, or for an additional $15 I'll ship it in brand new Rondo faux tweed case. The tweed is actually printed vinyl, it's funny but a good case.

Nice.
I just sold my 55-02 and I'm still sad about it!
I must say...the bartolini mk pick ups that these have are some of my favorite for shows. I had a set in a bass I used to own and the were nice and hot. The smallest turn of the eq gave a killer boost...very versatile.

I agree, plenty of boost and cut for all the boom/growl/honk/sizzle you need. I know there's almost always some improvement/upgrade available but it makes me wonder why people are so quick to swaps pickups/preamp on these. I have no desire to change mine.

+1 on the electronics, I think they sound great, and this coming from a 20+ year compulsive pickup upgrader. I think it's partly because the Nordstrands look incredibly cool in these basses.

I'll be quiet now before the Bump Police swarm in..

Ditto... The Nordies do look cool in the 5501's.
I'm looking for a more open sound that I think the Nordstrands will provide along with a pre that has separate volume controls for each pup.

Nice woodgrain.....Free bump
