For Sale Lakland 55-01D
$575.00 shipped in CONUS ONLY

I’m old, and can’t do 35” scale any longer, so my Lakie is up for sale. Not interested in trades, already found a replacement in 34” scale.

Lakland 55-01 Deluxe
Quilt maple top over ash, 22 fret rosewood board over graphite-reinforced flat-sawn maple neck
35” scale, ¾” string spacing at the bridge
Bart Mk 1 p’ups and pre (3-band)
New Lakland nickel roundwounds
Extra set of Sadowsky flats
Ships in gig bag
$575 shipped in CONUS only
Payment by non-CC Paypal or money order

I bought this used, and it’s been my main player for the last 3 years. It comes with a brand new set of Lakland nickel RWs. I will include a set of Sadowsky flats (made by Labella) that were on the bass for 6-8 months, nicely broken in.

There are two marks on the back of the headstock and Allen key marks at the edge of the truss rod access hole. There is one small dent at the back of the neck opposite to and between the 5th and 6th fret. I made an extra effort to photograph these cosmetic defects clearly. Thanks for looking.

The Spector in your sig? I bet it's nice. The ones I've seen were beautiful, but the necks weren't to my liking, as I like a thin neck. Sound great, though.

Barts is all they come with from Lakland, AFAIK. If someone has money to burn, I believe Nordstrand make p'ups that will drop in the routs. Me, I try to buy what I like to begin with, as the upgrade path can be more expensive in the long run. I did a monstrous upgrade on my fretless, and it was like that.

Looks just like my 55-01D, only w/o the damage... & I slapped in a Bart NTMB. That's a good deal..

What's the difference between a "55-01" and a "55-01D"...?

I think this is the only Lakland I've seen with a finish/wood combo like that.

"D" means "Deluxe", which means it has the figured wood veneer on the top.

She's still here because I can't afford a non-CC paypal payment right now. Pretty sure that's about the only reason
