That appears to be the Nordstrand pickup, to my eye.
I have the Nord pup in my Lakland USA P5 prototype, and it kills.

I thought the same thing when I got my LOG bass w/the Hanson vintage pickup. The Lakland pickups apparently have that staggered pole piece thingy as well. Dunno how that all works legally...

I have an NP5 in Lakie P/J and it does kill!

35". As of today, all 5-string Lakland Skylines are 35". There are only a few 5-string US Laklands with a 34" scale. I have not seen one yet.

This is a great bass, I have one in a different color (the LOG Bass), and the playability and finish are superb. The Lakland/Hanson pickup is the bomb.

I stand corrected. Re-checked the Lakland site and indeed, the Skylines are all ash. Thanks for catching that.

Is the pickup on this bass the LH-Vintage or the LH-Neo Punch? And by the way, this thing is gorgeous!

From the Lakland website (standard features of 5 string 55-64)

"New Lakland Hybrid Split Pickup"

I'm not aware of this being anything other than standard stock configuration.

I think that probably makes it the Neo Punch but I could be wrong Thanks for the answer back.
