Lakland 5501 With Bartolini Preamp 2 Attachment(s) SOLD!!I'm at a place where something has to go and unfortunately this is it. This bass sounds awesome and has been upgraded and matched up with a Bartolini 2 band Preamp with active/passive switch. Great looking Ash body with some flames here and there. Made in Korea not Indonesia. Weighs in at 9.0 lbs digital scale weighed twice. Comes shipped with generic hardshell case. SOLD!!$695 shipped conus. |
Great lookin ash body. The Bart on Bart sounds beefy too. MIK 5501's are a little sweeter than the Indonesian ones IME. |
And what the configuration of controls is?.. =) |
Configuration is Vol, Blend, Bass, Treble and a Switch for active/passive Very effective and easy to dial in great tones. |
I like that preamp......... the 2 band thing seems like a really good idea ---- 9 lbs--- pretty light for a 5501..........great deal here. |
You're right about that. I think the 5501 Lakland is the best 5er under $1000. It gives you pickup options that the 5502 doesn't. You can drop in some J bass style pickups like Nordies big singles or fat stacks or keep the soapbar thing going. This one has a great top end almost like it was maple. |
A whole lotta bass for around $700. |
Great bass. I loved mine. |
You might get one a little cheaper but it may not bring the sound of the Bart pre or the great feel of this MIK neck. |
I'll drop the price a bit if you don't need the case. Monster 5er at a great price. |
what's the serial number? i'm interested in knowing what year this bass was made in. |
PM replied. Art, I'll check the year as soon as I get home. More details in the pm reply. |
i'm interested in this. let's exchange some PMs and make this happen. |
pics sent to your email with message. |
Bass deal no longer active. Still available. |
The year of this bass is 2004. Made in Korea Plays easy and sounds terrific. |
I'll drop it to under $695 to make it more appealing. |
Interested in a trade? |
You can send me a pm cause ya never know but I'm mainly wanting to sell. |
Used it in the studio and it got a lot of positive attention. Full, Fat, and Dead Quiet. That wasn't the case if when I tried using too much high end presence with the original preamp. The Bartolini pre however is the perfect match for this one. |
