Lakland 5501 Deluxe, 5560 Custom (JO5) FS

Sign in to disble this ad
Selling two of my Lakland basses. Both are in wonderful condition with slight player wear. I took pictures of the blemishes that I could. There is a small ding on the back of the 5501 that wouldn't photograph but will try again if anyone needs to see it. For those who care the 5560 has been run through the PLEK machine. I do not believe the 5501 was but it can play with a little lower action that the 5560. 5560 has Lakland flats atm and sounds wonderful with them. 5501 has lakland rounds.

Weight on the 5501 is about 10lbs.
Weight on the 5560 is about 9lbs.

5501 comes with a Levys CM19E gig bag
5560 comes with what looks like some sort of ultra light case. No tag so I don't know who made it. Looks nice and will protect the instrument well.

5501 asking $750 Firm (us postal money order only)shipped to lower 48 states.

5560 asking $1200 shipped to lower 48 states.--Sold

No trades please.

Lakland pictures by fivestringdan - Photobucket

Little ding on the headstock is the 5501.

Oh my! If I didnt have kidney damage already, I'd sell one of mine for that cherry sunburst one. Since I don't know squat about Laklands, is that the 5501?

The quilted maple top was discontinued. But is a 5501 deluxe and a monster player to boot!

This is the 5560, (formerly JO5). They both have low action atm. I made that statement because I was able to to take the 5501 action a tad lower than this bass. I can adjust both far too low for my playing style. It was just a comment based upon a measurement I made out of curiosity about the plek vs hand leveled methods.

Wanted to clear something. The bass I am selling is not the same bass that was sold several weeks ago here. FS or Possibly FT - 2010 Lakland Skyline 55-60 Custom w/ extras...

He and I just have the same tastes..lol My bass was ordered this way with the tort gard and pickup cover from Lakland. It's 100% stock.

If you missed out on that sale here is a chance to buy another great instrument!

Thank you and I appreciate your offer to buy the bass. I do deal with people overseas on occation. However I never have to deal with the shipping. IME the buyer always has taken care of the shipping. In fact of all of my oversea sales shipping companies have come to me to pickup the instruments I have sold. Just don't want the extra hassel and what I was selling was worth enough to the buyer to control the shipping aspect of the deal.

Good luck with your search. I hope you can find one in Europe these are just wonderful instruments!

5560 is sold. I think I may keep the 5501. It's such a great bass. Not really going to discount such a great player.
