Lakland 5501 Nordstrand upgrades and Incase

I never wanted to sell this amazing bass but there are times in life when one must prioritize and make necessary sacrifices.

So here is my dream bass. Lakland 5501 bass guitar with lots of upgrades and an original Incase Bass gig bag originally selling for $200.This bass is a perfect blend of old and new, jazz and precision, funk and blues. Truly a well rounded bass for any gig. Speaking of which, this babied bass lives in a smoke free home and only played at church a handful of times.

UPGRADES:
Nordstrand 3B-5a preamp
Nordstrand Big Split pickups
*(easily $500 worth of upgrades so far)
Sadowsky style Aluminum knobs
Custom made tortoise pickguard (holes have not been drilled into the bass yet)
Fresh DR Low-Rider Nickel strings

There are no major scratches anywhere on the bass, just a few light swirl marks from slapping. I did carefully take off the black Skyline logo. For one, I think it looks much better without it and two I never thought I'd be selling this bass so it wouldn't have mattered for resale. Also, the Incase gig bag does have some "chew" marks from when my puppy needed something to dull the little razors in his mouth. They are located at the right side of the bag part where the straps meet the buckles. This is purely cosmetic and still holds everything just fine, it's the only part of the case that's not perfect.
Those are the only imperfections. It has low action and was officially PLEK'd(it's a process where a big machine perfectly sets up the frets and nut to give the bass perfect intonation and action).

$1100

No trades at this time, only interested in cash. As far as shipping is concerned, I'm willing to pick up the tab if the distance is within a state or two of Texas.
Please help me find this incredible instrument a good home.

I agree, it's by far the best value around. It's absolutely on par with any 55-94 and can out-pbass-bark them as well.

C'mon TB'ers, you know you want this thing. Let's talk.

I hate when these things come up! It's always when I can't get them!!!

I've been wanting to try a Skyline 55-__, but never feel like I should bother because I hate the Bart sound...
Then here's this bass, with exactly the mods I'd do! Looking all great and awesome and upgraded...

GLWTS! It's an awesome bass.

I've always been turned off by the Bart pups myself so when I heard about this mod I had to snatch one up. It truly sounds amazing. It actually has that old pbass bark and thumb most pbasses today can't match.
It would look good in place of that SR on the couch. Just sayin.
