For Sale:
Very nice Lakland Skyline 5502 in ash and rosewood. Older, and Bart loaded-which is really my preference with the 5502. The Bart stuff is smoother, richer, creamier, to my ear anyway.
With the neck position J pickup, and the three position coil tap on the MusicMan bridge pickup, you get the best of both a Jazz bass and a MusicMan bass...the addition of the blend knob and three band Bart eq just adds to that.
Condition, setup, playability and tone all excellent!
The Lakland 5 string neck is my personal top rated 5 string neck. Not too wide, not too deep, just feels right in your hands.
PRICE DROP:
$825+shipping in the ohsc; paypal e-check prefered.

Not really being all that knowledgable about Lakland, but I'm wondering what the primary difference is between the 55-02 and 55-94? Is it mainly the electronics?
Also, wondering if you can entertain me with a comparison in tone between this bass and say, a Spector 5-string Euro?
Thanks! |

The US model has the same electronics (if it's the same vintage, newer ones have Lakland pickups and preamp vs the older Bartolini equipped models); but has a bone nut and a quartersawn neck.
The Skyline wood parts are made off-shore (to the same CNC patterns) and roughly assembled before going to Lakland USA for final setup/fretwork/tech check.
Never played a Spector anything (tho I hear they're nice), so I can't compare for you...

| | | | Hi, can you ship it to Argentina via USPS Priority maiL?
the neck would need to be removed because of size limits (42" max lenght)
and ship it in one or two boxes, cases cant be shipped.its about 80 to $120
would you be ok with that?
thanks, Ivan |
