Classic sunburst, rosewood board with nice striping, alder body with better-defined stripes than usual for that wood, maple dots. Two pickgards - go with black or tortise, depending on your mood! Condition is excellent; I can't find any scratches, dents or dings. I bought this bass, used, when on the cusp between playing 4 and 5-string, and have hardly played it as I now play 5-string almost exclusively, including a good P/J 5, so this baby is not getting any playing time. Includes white Lakland luxo hardshell case. Oops...almost forgot to mention that there is a Drop-D tuner, and the weight is 8.5 lbs. on my digital bathroom scale.
This axe has a killer sound - the Fralins are a good match, and the native tone has a nice degree of growl. A superb and flexible axe, but would be particularly good for roots/Americana/alt-country use. This really should be somebody's main player, instead of sitting in my closet.
Asking $1850 shipped CONUS. Willing to ship abroad if your country can accept a 52x20x8" box via USPS, you can live with USPS underinsurance and pay for all shipping costs beyond the first $60, and you bear all risks of loss or damage.
Trade bait? Looking for a Sadowksy 5-24 with an ebony or Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, or a Pedulla MVP5 with 19mm spacing, with cash to equalize. Please don't be offended if I don't respond to trade offers for anything else! I'm really looking for cash on this one...
