Lakland Darryl Jones 5 LPB/active/passive/$1095

SOLD!!!
Price is $1075 now because I just saw a bass I want. If I miss that bass, this one will go up or off the market. The first one to paypal gets it. I don't want to miss the other bass.

Here's an 09 that sounds really great with the upgrades of Bartolini pickups and EMG Bass/Treble and Variable Tone Control preamp that has an Active/Passive switch. I found this combo easier to manipulate the tones better than the John East preamp in the last DJ5 I had. I'm not saying it's a better preamp but more user friendly.
This one balances great and is around 10.25 lbs. I know I'm being picky but my USA Lakland is under 9 lbs so it has me spoiled. I guess my search continues for that super lite one.
This bass is in Excellent condition with only pickguard swirls. No dings or dents.

Anyway, you can have this Beast for $1075 shipped conus with a Gator ultralight case. This will be my last attempt because I can't afford to go any lower.
I know the pics aren't great.

There are a couple small holes in the pickguard where the previous owner had a front pickup cover a la Marcus Miller. I was just going to get a Blue/Grey Pearloid from Jeanie but that will now be up to the new owner.

nope. It's in the control cavity. With DJ5's you can go without a pg. They're solid underneath.

Great basses,...and a really good price! Just sold one on here for a good deal more. This shouldn't last long.

Right you are voodoo. I don't know if the EMG pre is scaring people off but it shouldn't. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy I could get what I wanted from the Bartolini/EMG combo. The passive tone control is cool too. Not too harsh like some.

For the moment, yes. I made a guy a counter offer but no response yet so right now it's first to pay is the winner unless other promises are made.

Yes, I know Jim777. I can't believe it's still around either. Someone's getting a heck of a bass and they don't even know how good until they get it and play it.
