Lakland DJ5, East J retro deluxe, fralins, a killer!

FS only! Here's a 2006 black sparkle & RW DJ5, modded with what I believe to be Fralin pups and definitely a J retro deluxe pre. This bass has been modded obviously, jack moved to side of body, battery route under pickguard, and although I haven't pulled the pups to make sure, the black and white cloth wires tell me they're Fralins.

The mods were very well done, no hack job on the routing or jack placement. The bass plays and sounds GREAT! The East pre makes it easy to get a modern jazz on 'roids tone. The East jazz plate was not a perfect match for the original plate, so I had to do a bit of trimming on the pickguard to make it fit. It isn't perfect, but isn't terrible either. I'm including the original j plate and a non trimmed white guard to the buyer if they want it.

The bass does have some wear, nothing bad though. There's a dent on the upper back side of the neck around the 7th fret. I don't feel it when I'm playing the bass, but believe in full disclosure. Other than that, very little play wear or dings.

Selling this because I picked up a NOS '04 model that is bone stock with the original Aero's and is a twin to this bass. Bass will ship in a cheap fender bag, but will be very well packed and insured.

I'm asking a firm $1350 shipped in the lower 48. A fair price I think since these are discontinued and getting harder to come by. No trades please, and paypal is fine. Thanks for looking and here's the porn.

Yes, 19mm. DJ5s are the best. And with the J-Retro... perfect tone. Good luck on the sale!

I don't have a scale. Best guesstimate would be in the 9 - 10 lb range. Not a shoulder killer by any means. Happy 4th to all. Don't blow yourselves up! ; )

have some international interest in this. I'd really prefer a stateside sale, have never done the international shipping thing and it worries me a bit. Speak up statesiders if you've got any serious interest in this one.

Elykoko, still considering shipping to you, but going to give it some time for a stateside sale. If I do decide to ship international, it will be yours.

Still looking for a stateside sale. If you're interested, speak up before it goes to the land down under. Will ship with a couple of extra pick guards and the original DJ p[late as well.

Macribas also has a gorgeous white DJ5 listed on here if blacks not your color.
