It is a fantastic bass - In fact I am completely sold on DJ5s and I WILL own another one in the future. They just play, sound, and look like a bass costing twice as much. I really hate to sell this, but need the money to pay for some computer equipment for work. In the end it came down to the fact that this is easier to move than my FBass BN5.

FINALLY I've found it, though it may have been too late, simply because I checked TB at the end of the day yesterday instead of the morning...
<sigh>
<cry>
I'll be waiting!

I know how you feel - I looked for this color/wood combo for a long time too - not sure why they are so rare as I feel its a classic look. It will be staying in the Talkbass family though, so maybe you might see it pop up on these boards again someday. |

| | This is what happens, Larry... | | Join Date: Feb 2000 Location: Cleveland, OH. | | | Can I ask you something... ARE YOU INSANE?!?!?! That Fender should be more money. As an avid fan of my own, I know these basses are probably one of the best sounding, playing, and most verasatile basses made. Adding the pre just makes them more useable. Personally, I can say mine smoked the build and sound quality of 2 Sadowskys (both Metro AND NYC!!!) and a Modulus Genesis. If I had more money and the need, the Fender would be mine.
Secondly, the DJ5 is hot.
