Lakland Dudepit LE X 2 FS Feeler

Sign in to disble this ad
The Osborne is SOLD

1st up is a Limited edition Dudepit Lakland Skyline Joe Osborn 4/ J-Retro. In 2000, there were a limited run of 23 LE Skyline Osborns done for DudePit with j-retro preamps, Lindy Fralins, a sheerwood green finish w/matching headstock and mint green fret markers and pickguard. The actual bass options were selected by online voting and discussion among the members of the old Dudepit forum. This particular bass has served me well and is in excellent conditon with -no dings, nicks or dents. Some light player wear on finish and pickguard. Soundwise, this one will go toe to toe w/any US Osborne and most likely smoke it. It has a rather hefty ash body at 10.6 lbs bathrooom scale, but the tone is beyond and the sustain last for days. This one ships in a G&G case in good shape, and is wearing a fairly new set of R. Cocco Nickels. $1275 shipped/Paypal CONUS.

and a review..

DPLE II is SOLD

-Next up is Lakeland Dudepit Limited Edition II. Again, another factory small special run commissioned by Steve Barr in 2006, w/options selected by forum members. The DPLE II is based upon Lakland's Skyline Glaub bass. The actual configuration is...

Skylilne Glaub body w/J tapered neck 34" scale -super comfy!
Bound rosewood fretboard w/pearl blocks
Olympic white body w/matching headstock
Tort pickguard
Darkstar pickup (nuff said!)
9.4lbs on bathroom scale.
Wearing a brand new set of Thomastik-Infeld Flats
A definte 10 out of 10 condition-wise
The bass ships in a brand new Gator/lightweight (but plenty protective) case.
$1375 shipped/Paypal CONUS.*****NOW $1275 SHIPPED PAYPAL***** -SEE BELOW POST 13!

It d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y pains me to sell either, let alone both of these basses, but two once in a lifetime GAS purchases have struck me in one week! Absolutely no hurry, nor need to sell, just putting out the feelers for any buyer interest to thin down my growing herd.

I joined the forum too late, but Steve and the crew at the Pit sure did good with these! I've played one of each and they were killer. (I own a US Glaub with a DS myself and it's my #1.) Bump for a sweet pair!

The DPLE II is an incredible instrument, I know, I own one. I wish I had the scratch to buy this one and put one under the bed as part of the retirement plan. I wish there were a 5 string Darkstar, I can't imagine what the Low B would sound like. The DPLE II is as close to the voice of the Allmighty as far a a single pickup 4 string could be.

DOOOOHH!!!!!! I just took out the Glaub to answer a pm from a TB'er and chipped off a small piece of paint at the headstock#$%@#%^$!!! Click image for larger version

Name:	dplepaintchip.jpg
Views:	166
Size:	31.0 KB
ID:	199511 So you can now take $100 off of the price on this one (the paint chip is available and will be sent along w/the bass if the buyer wants to have it repaired). *** Let me also add that a large part of my subconscious is hoping that neither of these sell cause they both slam in their individual categories and will be sorely missed!***

You're especially killing me as I can't afford them either and I don't own a single bass out of my once 200+ collection.

Drugs suck!

I figured you would want it back some day...

On a serious note, these DPLEII basses are supurb. I love the DarkStar pup on this beastie.

One heck of an instrument. Someone is going to get a good deal here.
