Lakland Fretless 55-02, Jerry Scheff, Valenti, Bass VI

Hello all!

I'm thinning the herd drastically! Got to make some room in the closet. I would greatly prefer a local sale, but we can try and work something out as far as shipping as a last resort.

Here's what I've got:

Lakland Skyline 55-02 (MIK) Fretless (Ebony board) - *PRICE DROP* 900
Comes with Lakland HSC, has TI Flats on it. Light surface scratches are hard to photograph, especially when you're me. This is a great sounding bass, has the bartolini setup in it.

Then there's a Skyline Jerry Scheff 5 string - 1050 (SOLD!)

I'm also selling Valenti #045 - 1200 SOLD!

And finally there's my Custom Bass VI - *PRICE DROP* 1300 (SOLD PENDING PAYMENT)
USACG body and neck, with the finish and pickups by Curtis Novak. Has LaBella flats on it, and the Fender USA Bridge with Graph Tech saddles. Works very very well as a "regular" bass, in addition to the tic-tac stuff. Has some light wear on the body and some checking on the back of the headstock. Comes with a HSC and an extra set of the LaBella flats ($66 new)

These are getting to be pretty hard to find these days. The pickguard is backpainted silver, like a gretsch. Also set up with TI Flats and Lakland HSC.

Nice JS5 in CAR/RW!

It's not heavy, bathroom scale says about 7 lbs. Not sure how accurate that is, but it's definitely not a back breaker.

RE JS5 CAR/RW and PG -

- Was this bass originally equipped with a Mirrored PG? If so, then later was it removed and painted silver on back side and re-installed? (Just curious)

- The knobs look like they are matte grey, not chrome. Can you confirm?

- What is the condition of the Armstrong Chrome Lipstick Tube pickups? Any gouges from the strings? Can you provide a close-up photo for clarification?

- What is the s/n of this bass?

- Weight?

Thanks!

The pickguard was ordered this way from Pickguardian, I believe. I think that I did have a mirror guard on before that.

The knobs are matte grey, I thought that matched better.

The pickups are pretty clean, maybe a couple marks - I'll try and take pictures later tonight.

Not sure about the weight, definitely not heavy though. Will get it on the bathroom scale tonight.

Hope that helps!

Wow!! I thought I had the only 5 string Skyline Jerry Scheff around here. Hmmmmmm... can I possibly justify a second one? Red and Inca silver matched pair... GAS....

NOT going after this one Gordon????
It would be one of your rarest (along with the US Scheff)

wish i had the extra coinage! Scheff 5ers do not come along very often......if this one were inca silver the GAS pains woud be much hevier!

Someone buy this one so i can forget about it!

Haha yeah, the 3 knob thing. USACG screwed up and put the output jack on the side of the body, and the pickguard had already been made with three holes. So, knob 3 is a "producer knob" - it's a pot to nowhere.
