SOLD!
Folks, thinning the herd some more.
Main thing special about this one is it's only 8.8 pounds, which is SUPER light for a Skyline ash body model. But it sounds like it weighs around 12 pounds. The B string is really great, and the playability and tone are just joyous.
Passive. Vol-Vol-Tone. 5 strings, 35" scale. Simple. Killer.
I've done a pickup ground/shield job as well as a cavity shield job on it, so it's also as quiet as a single coil J5 can be... which means totally quiet when blended, and surprisingly low levels of single-coil hum even when solo'ing pickups. I'm pretty nerdy about that aspect of a bass due to some of the places I have to play (or should I say, suffer).
It's also had Dunlop Duals installed (original buttons included).
It's also had a pearl guard installed, (original white included).
It's got a couple of very minor/small blemishes, pictured, which were there when I got it not too long ago. Other than that, it's like new.
Comes with all the original candy/buttons/tools/tags, and the Levis Lakland branded gig bag.
This really is a great bass. I'm just moving away from 35" scale J's is all.
Priced to move... $850 shipped/48, I eat the paypal. No muss, no fuss, but also no trades (sorry). I just need the money right now.
