Lakland Skyline 44-02... super nice - $725

2006 Lakland Skyline 44-02. Made in Korea, Lakland pickups. Natural finish over beautifully grained swamp ash. Bass is incredibly light - 8.25lbs on my digital fish scales. Neck is 1.625" wide and comfortable. Action is low and buzz free. There are a few scuffs to the pickup covers- likely caused by a previous owner's slapping technique. There is some buckle scuffing on the rear in the clear coat. I've photographed the back extensively (see pics) and they are very hard to see. The angle of the bass has to be just right otherwise they are unnoticeable. Bass comes with the attached Schaller strap locks and strap ends are included. Comes in Fender molded hard shell case. This is a fantastic player, a "no-issues bass".

Thanks- it is a great bass. The grain is rather striking, the Lakland pickups sound fantastic, the neck and action are supremely playable and the weight is like the icing on the cake! I've owned a couple of US made 4-94's and this 44-02 comes REALLY close at a mere fraction of the price.

Yep. I've owned half a dozen Laklands over the years and owned or at least played pretty much every "mass market" bass available for under $2,000.....

Note that the MF one is Deluxe, yours is standard.

Hmm... The wording does say "Deluxe" in the their ad, but on their drop down menu the natural ash body w/ maple board (like this one) is $1349.. maybe this one IS a Deluxe? In any event, will be headed your way soon!

Yes. It's mine. All mine. Was about to pull the trigger on a MM Sterling (would be the 4th Sterling in my stable...) but detoured to this 44-02. Now I just have to find a home for one of the Sterlings to appease my wife.
