I'm a bit full on basses at the moment and it's time to offload this beauty.
The body is natural ash with a thick gloss and the neck is natural with no gloss (but definitely a matte finish that is a dream to play). The neck is slightly figured at places with blocks but no bindings. I'd say that the body is much less yellow than the pictures make it out to be.
This similar bass from basscentral shows the actual color.
This is unquestionably one of the best models ever produced by Lakland -- it's a player's favorite for a great reason! It's a drop-dead sexy vixen who's also effortless to play. The neck feels like nothing else in this world and certainly better than anything else in the $1000 price-point.
I have installed the Audere JZ3 preamp, which is set up as volume mid/balance and treble/bass (the default option). This really adds mojo to the bass and enhances its natural vintage sound I am also including the stock passive wiring in case you prefer that tonality.
The bass' condition is excellent. The woods are mint and the pickguard has average usage. There are definitely swirlies visible under direct light, but that's just like any other bass. The control plate also has one or two light scratches visible under direct light.
Also included is a black hard-shell case made for Lakland by SKB, a Levy's Leather strap, and Schaller strap locks with the original strap buttons. The original documentation and case keys are also here.

$950 shipped and insured UPS ground. Buyer pays via Paypal and I will not mark the item as a gift.
I'm in the Philadelphia area and would be more than happy to deal locally. I will be willing to travel to NYC to seal the deal if necessary.
I'm willing to negotiate on the price, but no lowballs please. Only trade I'm interested in is an iPad plus cash my way. Not interested in more basses.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ask here. I respond very quickly.
