Lakland Skyline JO5 ordered about 4 weeks ago from VBTC. Bass is natural w/rosewood board, tort guard and a lakland Hardshell case. This bass was ordered with Aero pickups instead of the Fralins. I also paid to have Lakland do a shielding job on the bass as well. The bass weighs in at 10.2 lbs on my scale and is in mint condition. The bass also has Dunlop straplocks installed. $900 shipped to the lower 48.

do the Aeros sound right in that bass?
Sorry for all the questions but
I need a bass by next week and
want to buy a Lakland for sure.
but still undecided between a JO & DJ (4 and 5 strings)
How about the neck feel between the JO & DJ
plus the weight between them.
thanks for the feedback on the bass
It looks like a good choice

The bass sounds huge...like one big string (B string is awesome). I'm not posotive but I have read that the DJ5 neck was a little chunkier which is why I ordered the JO5 with the DJ5 pickups. The neck is flat and thin...very easy to play. The weight would probably be about the same. I guess it depends on each individual piece of wood though. |
