Stop me if you've heard this one before:
Boy wants modern Jazz Bass and looks for Lull, Lakland, or Sadowsky. Boy loves sunburst. Sunburst Lakland JO5 appears on TB. Boy makes offer that seller accepts. Sunburst Sadowsky appears on the TB shortly thereafter. Boy asks JO5 seller for time to mull over his options--seller agrees. Sadowsky is marked as sold so boy proceeds with JO5 deal. After sending MO to JO5 owner, Sadowsky is suddenly unsold (and boy notices that "unsold" occurs with some frequency these days). After more mulling, boy buys Sadowsky, planning to keep just one of the two instruments headed his way. After yet more mulling, boy decides to keep Sadowsky.
So yes, if this J05 looks familiar it's because it was posted here a few weeks back. It is a great instrument with the usual Lakland sound and playability. Has the stock Lakland pickups and is 35" scale. Excellent and tight low B string as one might expect. The bass is in excellent condition with one small ding below the lower horn. Please see pictures. The body looks to be made of one-piece ash--the bass is relatively light (but I don't have a scale).
Will ship and a nicely padded gig bag and will be packed securely prior to shipping. I will also put a new set of Sadowsky strings on it before shipping. Price is $950 shipped and PP in the continental US.
