Lakland US 44-60 (Joe Osborne) with 44-94 neck

This is a 2012 US-made 44-60, which we all know better as the Joe Osborne.
You're all familiar with the specs, the only thing different about this bass is that it was ordered from the factory with a 1.6" neck width, same as the 44-94, so its not the classic 1.5" jazz-width neck (but its not a franken-anything either, it was made this way on purpose).

Lakland single coil pickups
Stacked V/T pots
Pickup cover
Graphite reinforced maple neck, rosewood fretboard with birdseye maple dots
Average weight, I'd say right at 9 lbs.

I am the second owner of this bass, previous owner said it was played for 5 minutes.
Not sure I can vouch for that, but its in mint condition, no major dings or dents, sounds like it supposed to.
Condition 9.975 out of 10 (how's that for precision, 3 decimals, baby)

Asking $2000 shipped within North America. Will not ship outside NA, sorry.
Includes newer tweed Lakland hardcase (brown fur inside).
No trades considered at this time.

Pics:

there is an area on the neck that looks like a ding, but it is not, just different coloration of the wood.

just a streak from the flash, not a gash in the backside:

+100000...Gary is a GREAT guy to deal with...and this bass looks killer....a new one would be much more and this is as "new" as it gets without the "new" sticker price (I just looked and these are listed at Bass Central for $3100 to $3300)

good luck with the sale Gary...

Wow. J-bass with a 1.6" neck = best of all worlds.
Unfortunately I think I have too many J basses already

But you don't have a 3ts with stack knobs and a 1.6" neck, do you? I'm getting really good at justifying purchases these days. Probably not a good thing. Haha

Curious: are those Hanson single coils? And how do they compare in output to active pickups? Or to other passive pickups?
Thanks

I would not characterize them as weak, but for sure they are vintage. I've had several basses with these Hanson single coils on them. They are vintage sounding, much like Lindy Fralins or Fender standard jazz pickups. These are not as high output as the chi-sonic pickups, which I am also very familiar with. Those provide a more aggressive jazz tone.

And it's not just me saying this. Here's a quote yesterday from the Lakland Owners Group thread:

I've been using USA Laklands for the passed 10 years, but this year, I got a US Osborn which I've wanted forever. I've had it since January, so I've done a TON of gigs/sessions with it already. The other night after a really huge sold out show I did at The Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA, I was talking to the sound guy, who also happens to be a close friend. He's like, "Dude, that bass (US Osborn) sounds awesome! It's the first bass I've heard that has a huge bottom AND you can actually hear all the notes!" That's all I needed to hear...hands down the Joe Osborn/44-60 is THE BEST J BASS IN THE WORLD!!!! Money well spent!!

Thinking hard about swapping pickups to hum canceling Js and keeping it. Maybe a J-retro.

Ah my old friend....here to tease me with this beauty. Beautiful bass, love the wider neck. I may consider selling Darth Vader for a shot at this. MAY I said. Hey...do you still have the quilted maple?
And BTW the DPLEII is insanely good!!! I'll be jealous if someone else gets this gorgeous bass but don't hesitate!!! Awesome bass brother to work with. I
