Lakland US Bob Glaub with BNB Jazz Neck and Darkstar I have two US Laklands listed for sale here. I need go down by one bass. The US Duck Dunn is getting lots of interest, but nobody with cash. So if this one sells first, I'll be keeping the other. Seeking $2000 shipped in North America. Won't ship outside of there, sorry. This is a US Bob Glaub P-bass with the much sought after Darkstar pickup in the P-sweet spot. It has the bound-n-blocked neck of the Duck Dunn model, width is 1.5", Jazz-width. Its a great bass, in very good shape for an older model. Some minor player wear for sure, some scratches that I tried to photograph, but no major dings. Previous owner was a session player in Nashville. This has a Hipshot D-tuner, and the headstock of this bass has been signed by Dan Lakin and Carl Pedigo. Comes with an older G&G case, chocolate brown on the outside, with red fur in the inside. Case is fully functional. Lightweight, 8 lbs. 14 oz. on my digital scale. You have green grass, we have 2.5'+snow! Beautiful bass! |
yeah, stays green all year here. |
very cool and unique Lakie!!! Sorry it has to go Gary! if it were a fiver or a P neck I would be interested.... |
I've got a DS'd Glaub w/ jazz neck and it's fantastic! |
Thanks JJ |
What kind and gauge strings are currently on the bass? And I assume the darkstar and the drop D tuner were factory installed, is that correct? |
Don't have the bass in front of me, but I am sure they are flats. I am pretty sure they are Lakland Joe Osborne flats, 45-106s. They could be Sadowsky Black Label flats 45-105s, which I also use on various basses. Either of those. As far as I know, the Darkstar and d-tuner were factory installed. She's been around the block a bit, but still puts out. |
"She's been around the block a bit but still puts out. " Lol! Why would you wanna break up that relationship ?? |
I had never been a real P bass fan or flatwounds fan, but I became one over the last 2 years or so. The DS loves flats and it can somehow provide more tones than a split pickup version. I now have 6 P bass variants and the DS Glaub is the one I call "King of the Ps". Someone will love this bass! I need to unsubscribe before I get myself in financial trouble LOL. |
confirming that there are JO Flats on there right now. Tom, I'm uncurable, you know that. JJ, seriously, I wish I could keep her around a bit longer. |
one of the PMers wanted to see a pic of the back of the neck. ![]() |

Hum.. why not? but it's not possible to find such models anyway enjoy |
full disclosure: I corrected the weight in the original post, I was reading the scale wrong. the 8 lbs was right, but it was 14 oz. so just under 9 lbs. still light! |
price adjustment: $2000 shipped within North America. last price drop before I take it off the market. |
