Lakland US DJ

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!

It is with much regret that I’m not wealthy enough to keep every Lakland I’ve ever bought & believe me this is very sad indeed, that said:

Up for sale is this gorgeous US Lakland DJ one of only 30 US DJs made before they were discontinued.

This one has been refinished in a classy Trans Brown over the nicely figured swamp ash body gives it a very cool vintage look & weighs in at 9.4 lbs.

The ebony blocked maple fingerboard has nice flamed/figuring to it & is a very comfortable fast neck.

It’s loaded with Aero pickups & passive electronics give this a killer gritty jazz voice.

There are a 3 note worthy blemishes to disclose:
The original owner (Juan Alderete) had put a strap button on the bottom of the lower horn.
The pickup covers are grooved from a previous owners hard playing technique.
Lastly there are 2 screw holes from the thumb rest (included) that was between the pickups.

Ships in a cream Lakland HSC that has crack on the butt end where the strap button is, but is fully functional.

$2100 shipped to the Continental US, PayPal gladly accepted, no trades

And the original pic from the Interweb

Gee, it's hard to imagine Juan playing any instrument hard I've been a fan of his since his Racer X days - killer player. Very sweet bass. I'm sure it will make someone very happy. Free bump

Great looking DJ!

I always told myself that if former minor league player of the year Daryl Jones made the Cardinals 40 man roster, I'd buy one of these. He just survived the Rule 5 draft, so there's a chance yet!

I can't get past the figuring found on the fingerboard... Pure awesomeness.

The Translucent Brown finish brings out the details of the body as well.

Are you open to partial trades?
