::from 775 and ship to 700 and shipping::

Hello TB:

Up for sale is my LDS2 32" darkstar equipped bass by Jimmy Wilson of Landing guitars.

Rosewood neck, translucent white body, slightly flamed maple neck.

It has been hotrodded through my college career to cater more towards the genre's I've played: Rock and Hip-Hop.

I'm selling her because I no longer play 32" scale. She's sat in her case for months now and this just aint right.

Condition wise, she is mint on the neck-- believe it or not I have babied her! The playability has never been sacrificed, all mods are strictly cosmetic.

So, what I've done:
Slightly roughed the headstock coating to apply a black coat, and a sparkle finish... the sparkle is green, red, pink, and is not smooth like a professional job. It does however look great under stagelight-- numerous compliments throughout this basses life.

I've added some "magic string" underneath the strap pins where there is normally felt. Jimmy never put anything on, and I didn't want to unscrew the pins completely, so I slightly loosened, tied the string, tightened, voila!

I also had a luthier remove some of the superfluous electronics. The bass was originally master volume up front, 3 way, then a vol/vol/tone/tone cluster. This was really unneeded in my opinion, so I had it taken down to vol/3way/tone. While the bass is now simplified it did make the neck a little "divey". It's not bad, the neck naturally sits parallel with the ground now... I'm sure a wide strap would solve that, I just never minded.

The luthier also removed some cavity wood to make room for adjusting the pole pieces on the dark stars. There is copper shielding in the cavity.

I also removed the backplate on the bass where Jimmy routed through for the 3 way and left potential room for an onboard preamp if I ever wanted it... I duct taped over it so it would stop snagging on my clothes. Kinda ghetto, but works great!

That said, there's only one other thing to mention: the 22nd fret on the G string doesn't ring true with the strings set as low as I have them, it muffles off the front Darkstar. I never played that fret, so I never cared and enjoyed the strings being set so low.

Otherwise this bass is a great player!
Shipped in the hardshell case shown. Case is in fine working condition including latches, but outer laminate started to peel away. Has been affixed with duct tape.

Bass includes all tools to adjust her, new lo-rider nicklewounds on her, and an extra set of strings in the case.
New set of Darkstar pickups costs $400 alone.

$700 and shipping... only trying to hit the lower 48 if possible, feel free to PM if you gotta have it and aren't in the CONUS.
For trades I would consider a Stingray or MIA jazz. cash going in the appropriate directions.

I accept paypal.

Man I'd consider buying this if it were not for the headstock. Wonder what Jimmy would charge to "fix" that. Why can't you put the backplate on instead of using duct tape ?

Contact Jimmy at landingbass.com I know he does refinish basses. I lost/threw out the backplate a while ago. It constantly snagged at my clothes.
