After Chef smoked this bass @ The Fugue, he pronounced the neck "perfect". Budman does know how to craft a fine instrument. If you like Darkstars and Les Pauls, here you go. The neck is set in the body more like a Fodera than a Gibson (Bud has better, more detailed pics on his site). The controls are passive volume / blend / tone. Not a noticeable dead spot anywhere on that pretty fret board
