For sale is my LeCompte custom six string headless bass.
This is an awesome bass, it plays and sounds great. I am currently on a "net zero bass" acquistion agreement with my wife for any bass over $300 so I am selling this reluctantly to make way for a new 5 string. This bass is in very good condition, it has not been gigged and I've just restrung it with a set of LaBella Slappers.
As per the pictures, the bass is currently fitted with Schaller strap lock buttons, but I will refit with the OE Dunlop buttons prior to shipping.
Price is $1995. Free shipping con-USA. Specification:
Two piece ash body
Maple accent stripe
Claro crotch walnut top
Gloss finish
Five piece 1/4 sawn maple/wenge neck
Stabilized macassar fingerboard
Twin dual action truss rods
Medium/jumbo frets
Graphite nut
Custom made brass headpiece, by David King
String bending reservoir
ABM single saddle bridge rails (19mm spacing)
Ebony knobs
Nickel Dunlop Straplocks
Bartolini dual coil pickups
Series/single coil/parallel switching
Aguilar OBP-1, 2-band preamp (vol/blend/treble/bass)
18V power
La Bella Slappers (29 - 125)
35" Scale
Weight: 10lbs 15oz

Any audio recordings to share?

It's not a bass I've used out so I don't have any clips of it in action, but I'll see if I can get something done this weekend.
In the meantime it's a very flexible bass tonally, the series/split/parallel option on both p=ups, pretty much let's you cover it all. You can get a modern punchy sound, a bluesy 'rumble', a P bass thump, etc. |

Bud went above and beyond with this one, he did everything I asked and the result was simply amazing. The bass sounds phenominal, whoever gets this one will be a very satified customer. There are some great pics here but you MUST see it to really appreciate it! BUMP for a very very nice instrument
