Left Handed 1982 Aria Pro II TSB 350 4 string Bass Matsumoku

Sign in to disble this ad
*SOLD*

1982 Lefty Aria Pro II TSB 350 'Thor Sound' Bass. I purchased this bass used about 10 years or so ago. Nice straight maple/rosewood neck, able to get fairly low action, volume/tone knobs, 1 single soapbar pickup, with pole pieces split in the Precision bass fashion. Totally stock except for the thumbrest that I removed, leaving two screw holes. I can re-install the thumbrest (as shown in the pictures) if the buyer wants one. Currently strung with flatwounds (Labella Deep Talking Bass Flats, I think).
Was strung righty when I purchased it, so there is a hole in the lower horn where a righty would have a strap knob. It has the usual nicks and scrapes that a 28 yr old bass would have.
Everything works perfectly. Nice straight, easy playing neck, low action.
I have installed a different string nut than what is pictured, with a little wider (and normal) string spacing than what the pictures show. I don't have pics of that, but I can get newer pics up if anyone wants to see them.

I can restring this for a right handed player if any of you rightys are interested. I should still have that nut around here somewhere.

$185 + shipping., continental US only. Paypal accepted. No checks. Shipping should be in the $40 range, via FedEx. Local pickup always ok (Charlotte, NC area), I could drive a reasonable distance to meet up with a buyer. Feel free to ask any questions, I will be happy to answer.

I have the TSB-400 pretty much the same thing except two soap bar pickups...Neck is very easy to play on, it was my first bass.

this is the hole in the top of the lower horn where a righty attached a strab knob.

I could probably get some brown wood putty and plug the hole up and no one would know it was there unless they already knew where to look.
It never bothered me, though.

Sorry, should have included a pic of the back of the bass. The neck is bolted on, 4 bolts and a neckplate similar to Fenders. I might get a pic up of that later tonight.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

That's the thing about buying and sellings leftys.....when you want one, they're hard to find (though it's alot better now than it used to be). Then when you want to sell one....there's just not enough of that 10% of the population who are leftys that wants one.

Sooner or later though.

Thanks Anthony. And as you mentioned earlier, if this was a righty, it would be gone.

My Dad's left handed.

It's his fault.
