Up for sale is my lefty 98' Warwick Corvette Standard 5. I bought the bass a few years ago from a fellow TB member and have enjoyed owning it but don't play it often enough to justify keeping it. As previously mentioned, the bass was made in 1998 so it doesn't have the dreaded "baseball neck" and balances beautifully while sitting or standing. Body wood is Swamp Ash and the neck and fret board are both Wenge. From what I've been told, this is a rare combination and the tone (finger style or slap) is incredible.
The previous owner had the original pups replaced with a set of Kent Armstrong soapbar pups. I've played a few stock Corvettes in the past and I find that the Kent Armstrong pups allow the basses naturally aggressive tonal colors to shine through with more clarity and definition while still retaining the trademark "warwick growl". The bass has an active/passive push/pull volume pot, two band EQ, and tone pot. I tend to prefer running the bass passive (more organic sounding to my ears) but when used in active mode it's more than capable of delivering unlimited usable tones. Strap locks are also built into the body and add a nice finishing touch.
My asking price is $700 shipped in hardshell case, for now CONUS only.
Here are a few pics, if more detailed shots are desired, feel free to let me know.
