Les Paul 5 string, FS/FT

Epiphone Les Paul 5 Standard

From what I can find out, these are kind of rare. I can't find a ton of info on the electronics, but I do remember these from the early 2000's.

Anyway, specs are as such:

-Mahogany Body
-Maple top (color is a Tobacco burst, though my camera makes it look kinda 3t... it's not)
-Maple neck
-Weighs in at about 11 lbs (it's a log, so weight weenies need not apply )
-Dual Rail pickups (humbuckers, 4 lead)
-2 piece bridge system
-Controls are: v-v-t and a rotary 5 way that controls the humbuckers (more below)
-34" scale
-1-3/4" nut
-18.5mm spacing at bridge

I got this bass with the finish on the back of the neck partially sanded off and not redone. It felt great and the neck is still perfectly fine, but I decided to finish the job. I sanded it all the way from nut to base and applied gun stock oil and buffed it to a nice, playable finish. There is an ugly spot up top (see pic), but it's only looks... you can't feel it. And no, the headstock wasn't broken off... this is 100% not broken.

I got it and disassembled it. I cleaned and buffed the fretboard, polished the frets and hardware, reassembled, installed brand new GHS Boomers (45-130), fixed the slotting on the replaced nut, and it's good to go!

There are some signs of use, but overall, it's in really good shape. There's a ding here and there, but hard to see and not bad in the slightest. The frets show wear, but are far from needing work. It's a great bass, ready to play.

From what I can figure, the rotary switch controls each of the pickups' configuration. In other words, it will set them each in Series or Parallel, etc. The Volumes and Tone work like a Jazz bass. I will post more if I can find it, but let's say it like this:
Each pickup has 5 different tones and they can be blended using the volumes. The switch doesn't affect the pickup selection.

The bass sounds great and these dual hum basses are great for reggae, classic rock, etc. But with the pickups set in single coil mode, you get more of that modern tone.

$325 shipped in a decent, non-original gigbag.
I pack well, too, so don't worry about that.
US and Paypal only. If you are elsewhere, I can get a quote, just PM me.

TRADES:
I'm on the lookout for a 5 string fretless bass of similar value. I am quite open to other things as well (of similar value), just PM me. This one is definitely trade bait!
